In 1987, Mr. D. Kamaraj began his journey as a young salesman in his uncle’s retail cement shop. Through drive, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility, he grew the small business into South India’s leading wholesale cement distributor within a decade.
With the same passion, he entered the automobile sector and established King Auto Private limited in 2018, which has now become one of the largest and most trusted Bajaj 3-wheeler dealerships in India. From future-ready showrooms to top-tier service, the brand reflects Mr. Kamaraj’s values of excellence, trust and a customer-first approach. His leadership. enabled the team to achieve an impressive 85% market share and expand across South and North Chennai. That same year, his contributions to the infrastructure and logistics industry earned the company the prestigious Infra Award.
Our Journey
King Auto’s journey began in 2018 with the establishment of King Motors, marking our entry into the automobile dealership space as a Bajaj 3-wheeler dealer. From the outset, the organization was built on strong values of trust, service excellence and a customer-first philosophy inspired by the vision of Mr. Kamaraj.
Over the years, King Motors steadily strengthened its footprint by expanding operations, establishing modern showrooms and developing advanced service facilities. This phase of consistent growth earned the brand a reputation as one of the most reliable and trusted Bajaj 3-wheeler dealers, creating a strong foundation for future expansion.
In 2023, the group entered a new phase of growth under the brands KINGS and King Motors, expanding into the North Chennai 3-wheeler market and entering the 2-wheeler dealership segment. Driven by operational excellence and an unwavering commitment to quality, the group emerged as Bajaj Auto’s No. 1 dealer and became the largest territory holder in India.
The journey continued in 2024 with strategic portfolio expansion through the addition of dealerships for Bajaj Motorcycles, Chetak Electric and Triumph, further strengthening the group’s presence across multiple mobility segments.
In 2025, the organization unified its growth, scale and long-term vision under a single identity – King Auto Private Limited. This milestone reflects organizational maturity, structured expansion and a renewed commitment to excellence across every customer touchpoint.
